Microsoft Authenticator Setup
This article will show you how to setup a user with Microsoft Authenticator when logging into Microsoft.
InstallThe below screen will appear when Microsoft Authenticator onrequires your selected mobile device.
Navigateaccount to
Chatlogin | M365 Copilot. In the bottom left corner next to the users name, select the 3 dots, then settings
Select Privacy > manage privacy settings.again.
Select security info > add sign in method.
Select "Microsoft Authenticator".
Click next.
OnceIt is asking you to install Microsoft Authenticator for MFA. Install the
app on your mobile device, then click next until a QR code appears on your
screen,computer openscreen.
In the
Microsoft Authenticator app on your
phonemobile anddevice, add account.
Select work or school account to add.
Selectselect "
scanScan qrQR code"
, &then scan the QR code
on the computer screen.
Click next, it will then do a test push notification towith your phone.

On your computer, click next to test out using Microsoft Authenticator. Enter the 2 numbers you see on your computer screen into Microsoft Authenticator and select yes.
