CBA EFTPOS PINPAD SUPPORT

If you are unable get a pinpad to connect/work after basic trouble shooting steps (restart, re-plug USB-B) contatct the below numver

For Commonwealth Bank (CBA) Pinpad's call 1800 230 177 opt 1, 2, 2 and enter the Terminal ID while you are with the pinpad that is having issues. They will assist with troubleshooting remotely or guidance via phone.

How to: Get into settings on Verifone P630 Eftpos Terminals


To access the settings console, you need to press on the top left, top right, bottom right and bottom left sections of the screen. 

You will then be prompted for the admin passcode, which can be found in 1Pass. After you enter the passcode you can swipe up for additional settings applications.

Client Deactivated Error

1. Check multiple machines are not connecting to Linkly IP Gateway

Hi Mitch,

If you're getting Client Deactivated, you may need to flush out the User ID in the registry by following the steps below:

  1. Click on the Windows start button
  2. Click on “Run…”
  3. In the open field type “regedit” and press OK
  4. Navigate to
    1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Remedy\EFTSRV\SERVER (32 bit windows)
    2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Remedy\EFTSRV\SERVER (64 bit windows)
  5. On the right, look for the key USID
  6. Double click on the USID field (it will be full of random characters)

  1. Delete out the characters to make the field blank and then press on OK (This will force new keys to be generated when connecting back to the gateway servers)
    1. If the customer is with "CBA" bank there's an additional registry key that must be deleted
      1. Navigate to 
        1. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Remedy\EFTSRV\GwExtnDll (32 bit windows)
        2. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Remedy\EFTSRV\GwExtnDll (64 bit windows)
      2. Highlight the folder and select "Delete"
  1. Then Click on the Windows Start button
  2. Click on “Run”
  3. Enter in “services.msc” without the quotes and press on OK
  4. Scroll through the list and find EFT-Server
  5. Right Click the EFT-Server and select "Restart"
  6. Open the EFT-Server and check the status of the line

Network Issue Resolution P630 Pinpads

This article is for resolving and troubleshooting networking issues post Windows Updates on Verifone P630 pinpads. (Currently only at LVC) 

These pinpads are fully integrated, with no failover internet connection, and rely on a USB Ethernet adaptor to provide shared internet connectivity to the device. 

When presented with a Connectivity issue, where the attempted logon takes an excessive period of time and presents with Connection Failed, or similar, check the following

If connectivity is still an issue after all these options are checked, proceed with the following

Verifone P630 Config Wiz

This article is for when the Verifone P630 wont come online.

  1. Make sure the terminal (pinpad) is connecting to the pc and getting a shared internet connection. This can be found in Control panel > Network & Internet > Network & Sharing Center > Change Adapter Settings.

    Make sure to select whatever ethernet port is connected to the pinpad then click ok.

  2. Once it is getting an internet connection run the config wiz. This can be found on the host machine in the "C" drive > Program Files (x86) > PC_EFT > Config Wiz (application).

  3. The config wiz interface will show up, follow the prompts:

  4. The config wiz is now complete. You will need to go to the taskbar and open the "c" and logon:

  5. You may have to stop and re-open the Linkly Client Gui.

    6. To open the client > c drive > Program Files (x86) > PC_EFT > EftCIntUI. Then go to task bar and double click the "c". Then repeat step 4.

  6. There are a couple more configurations that need to be made that Verifone have advised. 2 services need to be changed. "Internet Connection Sharing", needs to be changed to "Automatic (Delayed Start)". "LinklyRNDISConfigService" needs to be "disabled". It may also help to have other Bluetooth devices in networking and sharing center turned off.

  7. TIPS: It may help to disable and re-enable internet sharing. Also may help to turn the terminal (EFTPOS machine) off and on, this can be done by a button on the side of the terminal, hold it down for a couple seconds and select restart.

How to install Linkly for Ingenico Integrated Pinpads

  1. Navigate to this URL: "https://linkly.com.au/resources-support/software/". Download the linkly install client.

  2. Once downloaded open it and follow the configuration wizard prompts.

  3. If installing to an ingenico machine, uncheck the "Install Verifone USB Drivers" option. If installing a verifone machine, uncheck the "Install Ingenico USB Drivers" option.

  4. The linkly config wiz will appear. Click detect to find the com port number.

  5. Click next, then choose the bank CBA.

  6. Click next, the pin pad port should match the port that was detected earlier.

  7. Click next.

  8. Click "Another PC on the network".

  9. Enter the POS servers IP address and click next.

  10. Checkbox "no, ive entered all connections".

  11. All thats left is to log the eftpos machine on. In the taskbar double click the "c" icon.

  12. The linkly client gui will appear, click "ctrl panel".

  13. Click "logon". If successful it will say approved.

Verifone

  1. Repeat up to step 3 and uncheck "Install Ingenico USB Drivers" and make sure "Install Verifone USB drivers' is checked.
  2. There is a PDF that Verifone made called "P630 USB Install Guide" that shows how to install and setup the terminal: C:\Users\*username*\Puffing Billy Railway Board\Puffing Billy Railway - IT Department\Documentation\EFTPOS
